Launch UninstallView and it will take a second to analyze your system and generate a list of installed applications. You can go over the list to see what applications are installed on your PC, and you can even uninstall any application you no longer need. But please note that UninstallView doesn’t uninstall applications on its own, it just uses the software’s standard uninstall command. So in that regard, using UninstallView is the same as using Programs and Features from the Control Panel to uninstall an application.

UninstallView doesn’t need to be installed. According to developer Nir Sofer, UninstallView works with any 32- or 64-bit Windows edition, starting from the quite old Windows XP and going all the way to Windows 10. To get started with UninstallView, you will have to download an archive, extract its contents, and run the UninstallView executable.

The main panel on UninstallView’s interface lists all the applications that are installed on your PC, including details such as Registry Name, software version, install date, install location, software publisher, uninstall string, and so on. Above this main panel there’s a traditional File Menu and a toolbar. So overall, a simple interface that you’ll figure out in no time.

I’m having a bit of a struggle coming up with an answer to the question "what is UninstallView?" The best I could come up with is this: UninstallView is an alternative. It is an alternative to the Control Panel’s Programs and Features (a.k.a. the built-in tool that you can use to view installed applications and uninstall applications) and an alternative to NirSoft’s own MyUninstaller (which is now outdated).

UninstallView is free software. As is the case with all NirSoft products, please consider making a donation if you find it useful.

UninstallView lists all the applications that are installed on your PC and offers to launch their uninstall command. It’s an alternative to Windows’ Programs and Features and NirSoft’s own MyUninstaller.

Pros

UninstallView doesn’t need to be installed and works with any Windows edition. The interface is very straightforward. UninstallView lists all the applications that are installed on your PC; the list includes useful details such as install date, install location, software version, and more. UninstallView offers to uninstall applications from your PC. UninstallView is free software.

Cons

Since UninstallView does pretty much the same thing as Windows' own Programs and Features, I don’t really see why anyone would want to get it. And since there are other free uninstallers that can properly remove applications from your PC, I really don’t see why you’d want to get this NirSoft product.
